.Mac and CVS

Every developer knows the situation when what initially seemed like a very smart change turns out to be a very bad choice. Lucky are the ones who have a CVS or SVN repository to go back a few states.

However, without a dedicated 24/7 server, you can do it only on your local computer, and if its hard drive fails or the data simply gets corrupt (and it will happen at the worst possible time, trust me) you might end up losing all your hard work.

iDisk to the rescue! You can simply set up a CVS repository on your iDisk! Just follow any of the tutorial on how to set up a local CVS repository and do it on your iDisk instead of your local hard drive. Unfortunately, SVN won’t work on the iDisk.
